Sankofa Saturday School
Sankofa Vision, Inc. coordinates Sankofa Saturday School, a FUN
and INNOVATIVE youth garden program for elementary-level children.
Sankofa Saturday School takes place during the summertime at Sankofa
Gardens. In a safe and pleasant outdoor setting, boys and girls explore the
joy and wisdom of gardening. The children focus on a special theme and
learn how to grow vegetables and other plants. The summer program
concludes with The Harvest Jubilee, a showcase of the children's
achievements for an audience of families and friends! Our caring and
talented program instructors include certified teachers, gardeners,
professional artists, and parent volunteers.

- Children express creativity through Visual Art, Music, Dance

- Children reinforce knowledge of Science, Math, Language Arts,
and Social Studies.
- Children enrich their appreciation of African American heritage.
- Children conduct community service.
- Children cultivate good character.
